Application Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic applications engineers to provide technical support for Trillium current and future customers. In this role, you will represent Trillium as you help customers understand, evaluate, and deploy Trillium cybersecurity solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and be accountable for the technical relationship during customer engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Work with business development to understand customer security needs and translate into product requirements.

The candidate will need to bring existing customer relationships, develop and maintain strong business relationships with key decision makers across cybersecurity sector, as well as identify and qualify business opportunities, and position Trillium for bidding.

  • Research and understand the customers and the competition. Be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria. Know your competitors better than they know themselves.
  • Develop business cases for each new product / product enhancement to demonstrate viability of the product/capability, including target pricing and margin, addressable and realizable market, SWOT analysis, estimated development, implementation and support costs etc.
  • Develop market requirements documents that include use cases so that product development has a clear picture of what they need to build, and functional requirements that ensure product development delivers what you are asking of them
  • Manage new products /product enhancements through the development cycle to ensure what you have defined is built and delivered on spec and on time and on budget
  • Develop pricing models for all products in your portfolio that is appropriate for the verticals and geographies into which these products are to be sold
  • Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan to successfully launch new products /versions to current and new markets. Develop launch collateral for each product covering product description, how it works, target audience/personas, product positioning, value proposition, features and benefits, competitive analysis, why/how to sell it, and pricing
  • Develop core product positioning messages and product value propositions based that differentiate Trillium products in the market
  • Help define tailored content for presentations, demonstrations, etc. that highlight the value proposition of your product portfolio
  • Assist with Demand generation – Contribute to marketing programs that will drive awareness and demand for your products.
  • Participate in appropriate industry events and conferences and assist in implementing events effectively

Ideal Candidates will have knowledge and experience in the following areas

  • BS/MS in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science). MBA a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Management or Strategic Product Marketing roles for SaaS products
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Proficiency in office automation software (Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Working experience with digital services, cryptography technologies in automotive, fleet management, insurance, network and cloud security markets
  • English language proficiency required. Others a strong plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must hold current passport and ability to travel 25-50%

Reporting Relationship & Location

Product Manager will report to Sr Director, Global Business Development & Strategy with dotted line reporting to Director, Business Development & Strategy Aerospace & Defense.

Location: this position will be located in Ann Arbor, MI office.
